Excellent flavors and fast and friendly service! Get the King Nasi Lemak if you're hungry. Get the "Teh O" when the spice gets a bit too intense.
Village Cafe is part of the Village Grocer Supermarket profile which also offers a nut bar, sushi bar, bakery and gelato stand. Some of the items on the menu are sandwiches, all-day breakfast, differently flavoured roasted chicken, pasta, soups and steaks. The food is relatively healthy with lots and lots of local greens offered into the dishes. The downside though was that it cooled down very fast and within 2 minutes after serving all the heat disappeared. Not sure if this is also related to the strong aircon blowing right above us or if the heater of the food requires adjustments. The highlight though are the different options of loaves for bread which are actually made sugar-free, a rare phenomena in Asia.
